Vision statement: Giving youth a voice and a choice

Since 2003, the Ogden Area Youth Alliance (OAYA) has been guided by the belief that youth are a vital asset to our community and that they should be provided with the skills, knowledge, and power needed to succeed in life. If given these tools, youth can use them to positively contribute to the community in which they live. Our alliance works together to be a part of the solution in providing these opportunities for youth in our area.

In order to accomplish our goals, our subcommittees; identify areas where youth are underserved, educate the community about the needs for after-school programs, strengthen current youth programs by sharing resources, seek funding to sustain youth development in the Ogden area, and advocate for policies that positively affect youth. OAYA's mission is to continue to work towards our goal of empowering youth in our area by building strong partnerships with other agencies that serve this population. Working together, we can give them a voice and a choice for their futures.
